But He’s My Fake Fiance, by Annah Conwell
I read this book for January 2025’s book club, the theme was nerdy romance. I read all the other books in this series (and 💔 them all!), but this one is probably my favorite! Grayson just makes me happy 😊
Sloan is a romance author and after breaking up with Topher, her dad and stepmom try to convince her to get back together with him. See they don’t care about her or her happiness, just what is best for them since Topher is a family friend. Somehow, her step sister gets engaged to Topher (WHAT?!) and when they ambush Sloan to tell her this, she tells them she’s engaged to Grayson. And…he plays along!
Grayson has had a crush on Sloan for a while now (he asked her out last month but she was dating the toad Topher), so to him this is a great opportunity.
Loved 💔 :

my last one is a spoiler, so I won’t share it, but when you finish this book I’m sure you will know what it is!!
Didn’t Love:
that there are no more Carter Brothers for me to read about
PS, I read the series out of order. I started with book 1 But He’s My Grumpy Neighbor, then read 2 But He’s My One Regret, then 4 But He’s My Roommate, and lastly 3 But He’s My Fake Fiance. The only thing that wasn’t ideal about this was the epilogue in book 4 where all of the brothers are wrapped up. Check out my review of But He’s My Grumpy Neighbor
